Description

Spinning wheel; horizontal, bobbin/flyer, treadle.
Slightly contoured, thick rectangular table rests
on three splayed legs. The three-part treadle has
a pivoting bar between legs. A cord connects the
treadle to the drive wheel axle. The mother-of-all
is slotted into the table with the tension-screw
knob at the table end. The bobbin/flyer is
complete and designed for a doubled drive-band.
The two slanted wheel posts fit through the table
and are secured by pegs underneath the table.
They are reinforced by two braces also set into
the table. The large drive wheel has sixteen
spokes; the rim with two grooves is constructed
in four sections. Turned legs and spokes. Table
has chip carving at ends and floral motifs.
