Description

ATHM files: 40", 4 harness loom of American origin. The hand-wrought nails and all-wood dogs and ratchets suggest a mid-18th century date. The diagonal member which supports bench, breast beam posts and both beams, in addition to being nailed to the floor to prevent "walking", is unusual. Two of the four treadles are missing. Diagonal frame, absent front corner posts.
